Overview:
MAT 594X is a graduate-level class on Audiovisual Art. No previous programming experience is required, but knowledge of environments such as Max/MSP/Jitter, Processing, Quartz Composer, or C/C++, is suggested.

The course will focus on the history of Audiovisual Art, on its perceptual aspects, on audiovisual language, and on the creation of a final project.

Assignments:
Assignments based on papers will be given weekly in order to provide a theoretical framework.

Grading:
The final project will be worth 50% of the grade, assignments 30%, and class attendence 10%.
