Re: w10 - Final Project
For my project I decided to expand on my Time project by exploring the use of people as objects to move in a stop motion. This method is called pixelation and I enjoyed using it because the end result looks as if a person can either fly, drive, or slide about the ground as if it was ice. I decided t...

Re: w06 - Time, Depth Space
For my project I decided to use animation - specifically pixelation to create a .gif that can be looped forever. I tried two different techniques - one with the camera still and one with the camera moving. I also tried to produce a still image that conveyed this time using opacity.

Re: w05 - Noise
For my images, I started out with the concept of looking at Time magazines' photo collection. I decided to use their 2011 archive in which they took one photo from each day of the year (http://lightbox.time.com/category/365/?iid=lb-365). To sort them, I used pictures of mine and my sisters' birthday...

Re: w03 - Beyond the Rectangle
I chose to take panoramic pictures of a room and represent them in different ways. I don't think the first image was very successful - I decided to line them up by where the wall meets the ceiling. For the second image I decided to show two people sitting back to back in a room in one flat image. ci...

Re: w09 Final Work-In-Progress
For my final project, I would like to use haptic technology in order to interact with a digital life form. I would combine two different haptic technologies that I have found on the web - the first being the Japanese haptics robot "HIRO III" (http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2010-07/fingerti...

1. Drawn by Zach Lieberman http://thesystemis.com/projects/drawn/ The project that I found to be one of the most intriguing was a project titled “Drawn” by Zach Lieberman. Re: w06 Belief in the Image
Legrady's article explores the validity of digital photographs in relationship to analog processes. Since digital photographs are made of discreet elements - pixels arranged in a cartesian plane - they are easily manipulatable. If you make changes to an analog photograph, they can be traced through ...
