I used the scanner in the assignment as well, and focused more on the unique way it captures depth.

I love the idea of hinting at some sort of narrative, or creating a mystery, so that was my main goal with these images. I desaturated all the images, messed with the contrast and brightness, and tweaked the blur and noise filters (using different types of both) till I got a desired effect. Sometime...

I've collaged dozens of photographs of a building. The photographs make up a map of the multiple facades. In the first image, all photographs are set to 30% opacity. I used 9 images of car crashes for my project. I used various layer blending options to achieve different effects, and eventually found desaturating the image to be appealing to me. I think fiddled with the curves, and brightness and contrast.
