- PhD student Andres Burbano will present a paper titled "Between Punched Film and the First Computers, the Work of Konrad Zuse", at the Third International Conference on the Histories of Media Art, Science and Technology in Melbourne, Australia, November 26-29.
- MAT alumnus MarkDavid Hosale joins the faculty of Architecture at the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands.
- LuaAV launches new forum website.
- Version 5.0 of the CREATE Signal Library (CSL) has been released. CSL is a cross-platform general-purpose software framework for sound synthesis and digital audio signal processing.
- An installation by Professor George Legrady and PhD student Angus Forbes titled "Cell Tango" to be exhibited at the Davis Museum and Cultural Center at Wellesley College, September 16 - December 13, 2009.
- Professor Marcos Novak's installation Turbulent Topologies to be exhibited in "Extreme Frontiers, Urban Frontiers", an exhibition at the Valencian Institute of Modern Art, Valencia, Spain. May 28 - November 15, 2009.
