CLAM wins ACM MM Open Source Competition

CLAM, an open source project coordinated by Xavier Amatriain, has won the 2006 ACM Multimedia Open Source Competition.

From the CLAM website: "CLAM is a full-fledged software framework for research and application development in the Audio and Music Domain. It offers a conceptual model as well as tools for the analysis, synthesis and transformation of audio signals."

The open source competition - a recent but highly popular addition to the ACM Multimedia Program - rewards useful implementations of codecs, middleware, frameworks, toolkits, libraries, and other multimedia software. Please take the time to check out this excellent project, and to congratulate Xavier.
