Salman Bakht is a new media artist, composer, and software developer. Salman's artistic work focuses on the reproduction and transformation of recorded audio through algorithmic and natural processes and the analysis, representation, and integration of physical and media environments. Salman recently received a PhD in Media Arts and Technology from UC Santa Barbara for his dissertation, "Circumaurality (Listening around Sound): Representing Spatial and Media Contexts in Sonic Art." Salman has a master's degree from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree from The Cooper Union, both in Electrical Engineering.
