Some Tips on Creating a Personal Website
MAT encourages all of it's students to become proficient with the skills necessary to create their own websites.
However for starters, many people find that using web templates is a good way to get a nice-looking website on the net. Here are just a few options for getting a website on the net (for free):
Web template software: WordPress, wordpress.org
Free web hosting: wordpress.com (3 GB limit)
WordPress themes: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes. For more WordPress themes just google "WordPress themes".
You can embed videos and audio clips, for example: support.wordpress.com/videos/vimeo
Or add them directly to your WordPress website with "VideoPress": videopress.com ($59.97/year)
