The National Geospatial Digital Archive (NGDA) Collection Browser
is a geospatial search engine
for the collections of historical air photography,
topolgical maps, and satellite imagery
held at the Alexandria Digital Library (ADL)
at UCSB's Map and Imagery Laboratory (MIL). The interface
allows users to search by location and then to filter by
a particular collection, keyword, and/or by date. The air photography collections
cover most of California and date back as far as the 1920s. The topological
maps also cover most of California. The Landsat satellite imagery spans the
entire globe.
The NGDA Collection Browser was funded by the Library of Congress as part of the
The National Digital Information Infrastructure and Preservation Program (NDIIPP).
The NGDA Collection Browser was presented at Geoinformatics 2007.
