Bob received an undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Colorado,
Boulder (B.A. 1998), a graduate degree in computer music from Stanford University (M.A. 1999), and a
few other graduate degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara:

Program (M.S. 2004),
Department
of Electrical and Computer Engineering (M.S. 2007, Ph. D. 2009).
Bob specilizes in signal processing, in particular, sparse
approximation and signal representation applied to audio and music signals.
In 2009, Bob was a
Chateaubriand
Fellow post-doctoral researcher in at the
Institut Jean Le Rond D'Alembert at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC),
Paris 6, in the
Equipe Lutheries Acoustique Musique.
Bob is an assistant professor in the
Department of Media Technology, at the
University of Aalborg, Copenhagen.
