| Description |
This project visualizes the Seattle Public Library check-in data for the month of November in 2007. The data is categorized by item type: book, dvd, vhs, cd, and audio tape. Within each category the check-in data between the hours of 8am to 4pm are visualized. The data shown is the number of items checked in for the hour and the check-out duration for each item.

| Project Evolution |
Initially, I imagined the visualization to have an organic feel, where the items filled in a space where the dimensions were predefined.

Initial Visualization
I found that this approach lacked in providing the viewer with meaningful information. As the data was reorganized, it moved away from an organic feel to a more structural feel. Final Visualization
