CV

November 2007

[fragment] [art]

CV was created for the course MAT 200A taught by George Legrady. The instruction for the assignment were: "Create a Visual Map that represents: Your background, training, discipline, personal circumstances that led you to where you are today." The metaphor used for the visual map is the brainstorm: the development of structure is the structure. The piece shows my unwillingness to have my (academic) future defined by my past and the pain of memory in general.

Two versions of the work are presented here. One is the scan of the work that was presented to each class member on a 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of paper. The other is the image and instructions on how to create your own.

RSW is a text analysis and visualization project created for the course MAT 200A taught by George Legrady. The project explores the system of the internet "flame war" and, more specifically, the insults occuring within such conversations, which are ranked by their "sharpness." Please read (or skim) the presentation notes prior to viewing the results.
