Description
Welcome is a sound installation environment with the capability to simulate sound originating from inside or outside the space in an entirely realistic manner while isolating observers inside the space from real environmental sound. In this highly realistic, but composed sonic world, the observer is able to experience sound moving from the real to the unreal, to sense both deception and discovery. This work follows in the tradition sound art pieces that are performed in natural environments and electroacoustic soundscape compositions. Likewise, this installation environment will allow for contributions from multiple sound artists over its lifespan.
